On Oracle Buying PeopleSoft

This whole little scheme by Oracle to buy PeopleSoft seems very lame to me. It’s one thing if two companies merge in order to expand market share and gain better technology, but Oracle has flat out said it was going to just dump PeopleSoft and move its customers over to Oracle. In the end all that really does it eliminate your competition, and it does so in a not so nice way. And what of all the current PeopleSoft employees?

I for one hope Oracle does not get to purchase PeopleSoft. Competition is a good thing, it creates better products. If you have a total domination of the market what are you left with (windows that is what ;-).
