Shelter (the movie!)

shelter.jpgLast night I watched the movie Shelter. This was a fun movie to watch. Those who watch gay movies know they all have the same theme - depression. Every gay movie is all about AIDS and people dying or coming out and their family disowning them and it's all horrifically tragic and depressing. This movie actually had a happy ending, and generally had a happy tone the entire time.

There is still some angst, there has to be as the main character has his little coming out experience. But in the end, he comes out, gets the guy of his dream, and ends up with a kid?

Also there is lots of hot surfer action in this flick, and who can be against that? So if you have not seen this movie, you should! It's about time we get a non depressing gay movie!

Things that piss me off....

I used to be a lifeguard. I was a competitive swimmer from age 8 until college. Obviously I life guarded and taught swim lessons during the summer :-)

Anyway I saw something yesterday that made me wanna smack someone. I was at the pool at 24 Hour Fitness to do my daily swim workout, after I was done I chilled in the spa for a bit. The gym was having swim lesson in the kiddie pool. There was a lifeguard there that instead of watching the kids was texting on her phone, I only saw her look up once. I wanted the smack the dumb out of her.... When you are a lifeguard you are paid to NEVER take your eyes off the water. It's your soul function. Ya, that angered me a bit....

Married for 3 days!

Roque and I got married on Friday, it was taken away from us on Monday. Way to go California, way to show we are regressing from our frontrunner status on rights to taking away rights from people.

And don't tell me the bible tell you I can't get married. That bible argument is fucking bullshit. Do you realize how many things in the bible you do that you are not allowed to do? Have you ever even read the bible? Why do you decided that one thing is somehow more important then others? You can't use the bible to take away my rights when you complete ignore like 99% of it yourself.

And how can you say it's not discrimination? You only say that cause deep down inside you think gay people aren't people, and you can't discriminate against non people. So screw you, yes you are discriminating against me!

OH and the sanctity if marriage MY ASS!!!!!! If anyone has ruined marriage it's you! 68% divorce rate? ya that is our fault somehow. And did you even know that marriage was not even originally in the bible? That was added in later buddy. You know one of the zillion times the bible was rewritten and edited to push a certain political agent by the church.

I know arguing with bible thumpers is totally pointless. Because you can't use logic with them. By nature religion is designed so that you don't need a reason, or proof or anything to back up your beliefs. It just is what it is and that is the end of it.

Well I hope you are happy with your lifetime commitment you have that is "sanctified by God" And I know this lifelong commitment will be just as meaningful once you are on your third wife......

All you have done is REALLY piss us off now. This is NOT over, the battle wages on.

Go Apple!!!!!!!!!

In a time when the bible thumpers are trying to blackmail companies into donating to the yes on 8 campaign, Apple today publicly came out against prop 8 AND donated 100,000 to the no on 9 campaign. Apple rocks!

Apple is publicly opposing Proposition 8 and making a donation of $100,000 to the No on 8 campaign. Apple was among the first California companies to offer equal rights and benefits to our employees’ same-sex partners, and we strongly believe that a person’s fundamental rights — including the right to marry — should not be affected by their sexual orientation. Apple views this as a civil rights issue, rather than just a political issue, and is therefore speaking out publicly against Proposition 8.

Vote NO on prop 8!!!!!!!!!

I sweat to god, those ads you see for yes on prop 8 are just pure lies. I mean true most political stuff is pure BS, but it's at least generally based on something in reality. These yes on prop 8 ads are just peoples nightmares put in video and turned into commercials!!!!

This is a perfect example, a real yes on prop 8 ad, and a satire that makes the same freaky conclusions that the real ad makes.

and now the truth...

Goodbye Intel

I have always made it a point to not talk about work on this blog. Infact I don't think I have ever actually said where I work. Well since Feb 2002 I have been working for Intel. Yup, that tiny little company that has its processor in your computer your using right now! I have work in the Flash Memory division. We make that really cool memory that your cell phone uses that keeps its information even if you turn it off!

Anyway about a year ago Intel announced that it was spinning off its Flash Memory. Also ST Micro was spinning off it's Flash Memory and the two were going to combine and become one company called Numonyx. Numonyx has been a long time coming and I am REALLY excited that day one has finally happened and I now work for Numonyx.

I am also excited that as part of Numonyx I get to go to Italy and help configure one of ST Micros former flash sites to work with some of our stuff. I leave this friday!!!!!!! I have never been to Europe before and I can't wait to go! It's kinda freaky though!

So sad.....

It is really sad to see the Heath Ledger is dead. And according to reports I have read thus far, they haven't figured out why. The initial toxicology report did not show any drug overdose or anything. It doesn't look like a suicide, or foul play. And he is younger then me, which kinda freaks me out...

NOW.... what pissed me off is the Westboro Baptist Church is going to protest is funeral. I really don't like the Westboro Baptist Church. Is spewing hate really the way to spread the work of Jesus who preached love everyone? They really make me sick. And Heath Ledger was not even gay, they are just protesting cause he made the movie Brokeback Mountain. Grrrr..... I hope a mob of drag queens comes and beats them up or something....

Sacramento Pride 2007

This weekend was Sacramento Pride. This year I was on the float for The Bolt. It was actually LOTS of fun! We had a really good time.

As per usual in Sacramento the Russian Bible pushers were out in force. They were there with their children holding signs about how we are a perversion and sodomy is a sin. I had fun heckling them back. Go Sodomy!!!!!!!! BTW I was not trying to be racist at all by saying only the Russians were protesting, but it's true, the only protesters were the Russian Bible pushers. It's just the demographic of our area! Silly Russians. Oh and there were these two Russian boys protesting that were SOOO clearly latent homo's it totally rocked. Poor kids, they are probably hating life.

Anyway yes Pride totally rocked!

I stated a new website!

So I am not fortunate like some people that live in WeHo and SF to have a gay Masters Swim Team. So how do you talk to gay swimmers? There is no place on the net for gay swimmers to converge and talk. Trust me I looked!

Well not anymore! I just started a new site Gay Swim Junky. So if you're gay and you are a swimmer, check it out. Register and start posting on the forums!

I just started it and right now I am the only registered user... HEHE I need to get some marketing or something... I think I need to email the webmasters of all the gay swim teams I can find and have them post the link.

I think it could be a really fun site once we get a big community going!

How many of you watch that show Supernatural on the CW network? I didn't watch it first season, although I heard it was really good, but I have since started watching it and I totally love it!

As an added bonus to the show being good, there is one super hottie on it. Jared Padelecki. You may have first seen Jared in Gilmore Girls as Dean, but now he is the super hottie in Supernatural.

Lets have some picture fun, as per usual click on a image to see it bigger!

Coda Update - 10/19/2006

Well we have had Coda for almost 2 weeks now. He is the best puppy EVAR. He is finally getting used to us and his new home. He is more energetic and playful. And best of all he does not wake us up at 2am to go to the potty anymore! That I totally love!

We were gone over the weekend for my B-day so we had a puppy sitter. She took him to get groomed. He looks so cute now with his groomed coat. I have to admit though, I kinda liked it when a little fur covered his eyes, he looks all different with his bangs cut....

I want to leave work right now and go play with my little guy!!!!

Lazy Bear 2006

For all you Bear's out there I am sure you know that the past weekend was Lazy Bear Weekend. It was lots of fun, and lots of hard work. You see Roque and I both volunteered (A LOT) over the weekend). Due to unforeseen circumstances we ended up having to staff the bonfires at night. This means we volunteered all day, and then again all night...every day! Go team!

Wednesday
We left for Lazy Bear after work on Wednesday. Luckily traffic was really light and we got there not too late. In fact we got there in time to setup our tent, take a small five second nap, and then go work the bonfire for that night. Working the bonfire was actually really fun, you get to greet everyone as they come, AND you have to ask to see their Bear Tags and some of them lift up their shirts to show them to you and you get to see some hot furry chests, I totally approve of that.

Thursday
This is the first long day. Both Roque and I were working the headquarters table from 10-5. Headquarters table is rather fun, you get to meet basically everyone as they come in and get their bear tags and what not. I got to meet someone I went to both middle school and high school with! He's turned out hot too...woof!

Thursday night after a small nap both roque and I and some friends worked the bonfire. Again was REALLY fun minus the whole tired ans worn out thing. This night we had stickers to put on peoples chests which means I got to feel hot man chest all night. It was good times.

Friday
Headquarters table again, 10-5. Afterwards small nap and bonfire. Well I did not actually work the bonfire, I slept I could not take it anymore. Luckily this night we had volunteers to help us so even though Roque was helping them, they were really doing all the work. Thank god for them!

Saturday
This time I was not headquarters table, I was beer at the RRR. I like serving beer at pool parties cause you get to see hot wet fur, and I approve of that! It was a long day though, very busy. It was like non stop beer pouring there towards the end. And I had a slight incident where I was tapping a keg and it exploded in a wave of beer on me....nice....

After a nap it was bonfire time! Luckily again we had volunteers. So both Roque and I stayed at the campsite and relaxed. We when up to relieve the volunteers, but other then that we just chilled and waited for them to finish so we could count the door money and go to bed.

Sunday
It's our free day!!!!!!!!!! At this point though we really don't care, we are way over lazybear and want to just sleep. We would have just gone home but it was our night to cook dinner for all the volunteers. SO we were at the campsite till about 8. I had spaghetti sauce explode in my face and now I am missing a patch of skin above my eyebrow...ouch!

Finally we got home at 10 on Sunday night and passed out.

conclusion
Lazy Bear is fun. I am NOT volunteering next year, the end!

I love my homo run town!

West Sacramento Mayor Christopher Cabaldon came out of the closet last night. Yup the mayor of the city I live in! I am so proud! Mind you if you were gay your kinda already knew he was gay. I am sure the hetero's did not know, but we had a basic idea. But I am proud of him to have the guts to publicly come out, while still in office!

Mayor Cabaldon, you ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ADDITION:
Email the mayor to wish him your support. I think it's important he gets positive feedback and not just angry hate mail from bible thumpers. You can find his email on the West Sacramento Homepage.

Chest Stubble == Bad

OK children I am gonna make this really clear....

chest hair is hot, chest stubble is bad
cheat hair good....chest stubble not hot
chest stubble is NOT HOT

I went to the gym today and the first thing that happened was I went to the locker room to drop off my gym bag. There was this TOTALLY hottie that walked in next to me. Cute, nice body, and some nice scruff. I could not wait to see his furry chest. Then it happened, the worst thing ever. This guy had chest stubble. Ewwww..... I am ok with manscaping, but stubble is not OK. It's just as bad as shaving in my opinion, which clearly is not ok also.

Anyway I had a good workout today. I did my legs today. I know this sounds funny but I used to hate doing leg workouts, but for some reason I like it better then arms now. Even doing the squats, which I seriously used to hate.

There was this "chic" with a personal trainer while I was there. She clearly used to be man. Not that there is anything wrong with that, I am just saying....

Then once I finished lifting I did some cardio. There was this guy on one of the treadmills that had one of those t-shirts that had the sleeves cut off, but cut off such that the shirt is open all the way down to the waist. you know what I mean? On the right guy that looks REALLY freak'n hot. And this was the right guy! OMG. Maybe someday I will look hot in a shirt like that. Dare to dream huh.

Anyway, I had a good time at the gym. As much as I hate going to the gym, I really do like it while I am there. And I like the way it makes me feel afterwards. This workout routine just might stick this time!

Step off you nasty ass troll

Just cause I am in a bar does NOT give you the right to come up out of nowhere and sniff me. That is just plain rude. Even if you were cute, which you were NOT, it would still be rude.

So there were three of us: me, my hubby, and our friend Brandon. Brandon was telling us a story of his crazy Thanksgiving. Some random nasty troll comes up and makes a comment about the story. I assumed he was gonna put the mack on Brandon since he was the story teller. Then he leans over to me, like really close. I assume this bastard is gonna whisper some nasty ass pickup line in my ear. Nope, he sniffed me! Step off you nasty ass mother fucker! You do not have the permission to sniff me, especially if your an ugly ass troll!

OK I am done ranting now.

Therapy Tuesday!

Today should be an interesting day. I got sucked into going to a group therapy session with my parents. If you have been reading my site you know my whole family is lame and can't handle the gayness. Anyway I guess my mom's shrink wanted to have a session with my parents AND me. So I said yes. I honestly don't see how it will help but I am willing to try. So we have a two hour session tonight. I really don't know what to expect, I do know that this therapist is not a gay hater, in fact I think he is on my side so we will see.

Wish me luck! May the power of gay be with me!

My fish tank is Fabulous!

My new fish tank has been up and running for over a week now. I bought some little fishies last week. I am slowly working on cycling the tank. It's so difficult to resist the urge to buy a bunch of fish, but I have too. They will just die right now since my tank is not established. Maybe in the next week I will buy a few more fish. We will have to see. But I already love it.

My kitty loves it too. She sits on the couch and watches the fish swim around.

Support gay marriage in CA

OK everyone, the Gov has still not veto'd bill 849. Let him know we want it!

Call the gov's office and express your support.

It's all automated, so you don't have to talk to anyone.

Follow these directions:
1. Call the Governor: 916-445-2841
(This number is listed at http://www.governor.ca.gov)
2. Push: 2 (voice your opinion on legislation)
3. Push: 1 (gender-neutral marriage bill - Senate Bill 849)
4. And push: 1 to support marriage equality

You don't have to be from California, you just have to call.

Parent drama comes to a head

Well my Dad just sent me an email saying he was coming up this Saturday to talk to me. And he was coming whether I responded or not (because I have not talked to them in about 2 months). He said that he could not let things go on like this anymore.

I am kinda interested in what he thinks will fix this. I am almost 100% sure that his solution is that I keep pretending not to be gay to make my mom happy. I of course will not agree to this plan. He needs to understand that since Roque is not welcome anywhere near her, it basically proves that she is not OK with the gayness and any contact with her is just a lie because she wants to pretend I am not gay which I refuse to do, and I refuse to participate in her little fantasy.

She can't say that she loves me but at the same time if I ever go see them I have to come alone. That is not love, conditional love is not love at all! ANd I know my dad is going to make the argument that she grew up in Peru and things a different there and she just can't accept my gayness. Well fine whatever, but we are in the US and I DON'T have to put up with that crap.

Basically put I no longer care if they agree with me, or even accept me. They are entitled to their own opinion. But just because they are my parents that does not mean I am going to put up with their crap. They can not accept my gayness, but that means I will not have any part of them anymore. This is not me trying to get my way, it is simple cause and effect. At this point I could care less if I ever talk to them again, they have treated me like a leaper for long enough.

The verdict is in....

.....our governor is a total wanker. Our fearless leader is going to veto the marriage bill AB849. Not that this is much of a shocker, he is a total prick and we knew he was going to.

FUCK YOU all you bible thumpers.

We must rally support NOW!

As all of you should already know, the California legislature has passed a bill to legalize same sex marriages. This is a historic event but we can't just sit back. The bill is sitting on the governors desk and he still has the option to veto it.

We have to rally support and let the governor that we want this bill passed! You can send the governor an email here: http://www.govmail.ca.gov/. Let him know that you want him to stand for equality. Let him know this is important.

Parent Drama - yes still!

My mom left me another message this weekend. Saturday was her birthday. And no I did not call her, nor did I send her a card. I totally ignored it. Well Saturday night my mom leaves one of her messages because she has not heard from me in a month and it was her birthday and she starts all crying and saying she is sorry and stuff.

I still stick by what I am doing. They don't deserve contact from me. And she said she was sorry but she is not sorry about they way she is treating me, she is sorry she did not get her way and that I forgot her birthday. Maybe now that I totally ignored her birthday it is starting to click in her brain that she can't keep being such a beotch. And honestly I don't know what she is freaking out about. Every time I spoke to her, or came home it was a total lie. I was not allowed to talk about my life, Roque was never with me. Non of her friends no anything about me. Seriously, why does she need me to keep up the lie? I would think she can make shit up on her own power.

Anyway, I am not going to call her, and I am not going to apologize. My family has brought this on themselves. I gave them chance after chance to not be such assholes to me, and they failed to take it every time.

Launch Party

For some time now Roque and I have been a bit disillusioned towards the bear community here in Sacramento. It seems the bear club has lost it's way. I am not going into details or citing specifics, it's not relevant. What I will say is that we wanted to do something about it.

And do something we have. Yesterday I launched the website of the all new Sacramento Woof Society. Our motto, "no drama, no politics, just good times". Launching the website was just the start, there will be a launch party coming in the near future.

Watch out world, we have arrived!

You have been blocked!

Well the saga continues with me and my parents. Even though I have stopped talking to them, my mom will still AIM me during the day. I never respond, but apparently in her messed up mind that is a conversation.

Last week she asked me to come home over the weekend, because they miss me and all. I never responded. And as I am sure you can guess, I did not go to my parent's house. I get a messaged this morning from my mom saying they waited for me Saturday but I did not show up, but that is ok because sometimes people get busy and don't have time.

She is totally living in a land of make believe, and letting her message me and letting her have that as a starting point to believe she is actually talking to me is not ok. So I have blocked them. No more sending me messages. She needs to come to terms with reality, I am NOT talking to them ever again until they stop treating me like I am broken, and that my husband does not exist. She's knows exactly what she has to do, wonder if she will ever do it.

GLAAD Media Awards

Last night we watched the first ever televised broadcast of the GLAAD Media Awards on Logo. I normally don't like award shows, but this one was fun to watch. Maybe it was how at ever turn they bashed the president. Or maybe how it was so positively gay!

The show opened up with are favorite girl, Margaret Cho. And I think she has the best line of the entire night. "I just want Jesus to come back and say THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT!"

I also liked how every commented on how hot John Stamos is. I mean it's totally true, he is a total hottie!

I love having my Gay TV!!!!!!!

"The old Scotty"

Ever since I stopped talking to my parents, my mom still will instant message me on AIM. She will say "hi, oh your not there, bye". Yes all in one sentence, that way there is no rejection, she keeps her bubble of denial fully intact. Anyway she messaged me today saying she wants me to spend the weekend with them because they want "the old scotty" back. What does that mean? I assume she means this made up version of me that is not gay. Well I have news for her, that is not the old version of me, its not any version of me!

I am done reinforcing her denial bubble. She can kiss mine! She is never going ot come to terms with me being gay as long as everyone in the family pretends the way she acts is the right way, and they all guilt me into pretending not to be gay while around her. Screw that! I am totally done with them. I have no idea what will come of this. Maybe they will finally come to terms with reality and realize there was no "old scotty" there is and was just me! Or maybe I will never talk to them again because she will never face reality. Either way I am not putting up with their shit anymore.

30 days

I just finished watching the new show 30 days. In this most recent episode, they take some corn fed white boy from Michigan and have him stay 30 days in the Castro (which we all know to be the gayest place on earth). First, the poor guy was really hot. And he was VERY closed minded. It was really interesting actually. But I think it was a bit unfair for his gay hosts to take him to Daddy's as his first gay bar ever. For those who don't know Daddy's is a bear/leather bar. Not really what I think some poor kid should have as his first gay bar. There are many gays that would not want to go to Daddy's.

In the end I think he learned to open up his mind a bit. It was a really good episode.

And am I crazy, but is Morgan Spurlock kinda cute?

New drug that can stop AIDS

Japanese researchers have just unveiled a new type of AIDS drug. It is different than most drugs. All the current drugs try to destroy the virus, but the virus just mutates and turns into a super virus. This drug actually fortifies the cells in you body so they never become infected. It's very interesting stuff!

My new actor husband

OK, I have a new actor husband. It used to be Russell Crowe but now it's David Sutcliffe If any of you have Directv and have the total choice plus package then you are lucky enough to get the new homo chanell, Logo Over the weekend logo aired the movie Testosterone, starting my new actor husband. You may remember David Sutcliffe from such rolls and the not present father in Gilmore Girls. Well let me tell you, this man is HOT! He is super cute, he has a nice body, and he has a total hot scruffy face, and a fabulously furry chest. And let me tell you, you get to see a lot of his fabulous woofyness in this movie!

As for the movie, it was not all that great. I mean it was kind of interesting, in that it makes no sense sort of way. Even after you get to the end you are still kind of wondering what the hell was happening. It was not a horrible movie mind you, it just didn't entirely make sense. But the hot sexy homoness of it all, and the hot woofyness of David total make up for it.

So in conclusion, I have a new actor husband, you can't have him, he is MINE! And go watch Testosterone! And support Logo, the homo channel! We finally have a channel all our own!

The ultimate living in denial

I am always impressed by my Mom's ability to live in complete denial and in her own universe where rules of life don't exists. Case in point, we all know that I told my parents to F off a couple weeks ago. Yet every no and then I get an random AIM message from my Mom. But the best part of her messages is that in the same sentence she will say hello, and say that I must be busy at work so bye. I don't even get a chance to ignore her. She just automatically in her message declares I am to busy to respond. Could there be a more perfect denial? She knows I wont respond so she makes up an excuse for me so it's OK that I don't respond. It's not that I don't ever want to talk to her again, no, it's that I am too busy.

Whatever, she can continue to talk to me when I am not listening if she wants. I am not going to respond. Wonder what excuse she will make up when I miss Thanksgiving and Christmas....

Family smackdown - conclusion

Well my family finally wrote me back after the email I wrote. Basically they said that they loved me and accepted me, but can't accept my lifestyle. And were willing to come to our home and be around Roque, but only at our home no place else.

So basically they told me they accept me, but can't accept my lifestyle, and can't be around Roque basically anywhere. I am missing how they actually accept me the way I am. Am I crazy here?

I am standing firm here. They are cut off. Their version of acceptance and love is not real. I don't need that. They can no longer guilt me. I know what I am doing is the right move. If they need to pretend Roque does not exist, then they can just pretend I do not exist because I am gay too!

Bye bye family, thanks for all the bad memories and anxiety attacks. Don't think I am gonna miss you all that much.

Another Family Smackdown

Yesterday was my brother's 30th b-day. His wife planned a surprise party for him. And shocker of all shockers, Roque was not invited. I am sick of my family. I had planned a BBQ at our loft this weekend in an attempt to try and get everyone together in hopes that things would get better, but not anymore. Roque told me last night that he was not going to be around Saturday because he does not want to be around my family knowing that they would prefer he does not exist. So I wrote this email to my parents.

Well I am sorry to say that the BBQ I was trying to plan on Saturday is now cancelled.

After yet another event that Roque was not invited to, he has decided he does not want to be around if everyone comes around Saturday. It is not acceptable to have Roque not feel comfortable or welcome in his own home, so I am canceling.

I have been trying hard to get everyone to accept him but I guess that is not going to happen. I was really hoping things would change but they are not. I am invited to all his family functions, even thanksgiving and Christmas. So rather then try and force the issue I will just wait till that time when someone else feel comfortable enough to invite us both to a family event.

Do not kiss the nasty old man

Why do some men feel it necessary to say hello and goodbye with a kiss? I am not down with that. I have no desire to kiss you so why must you force it upon me? I am all down with a hug and all, but kiss, no. And why is it that the majority of the people that require this hello/goodbye kiss are nasty old gay men? Mind you I don't want to kiss the hotties either. The only man I need to kiss is my hubby!

Anyway, am I a freak for thinking this? What do you think about the hello/goodbye kiss? Are you one of the ones that make others do it, or are you like me and you don't like to do it at all?

So sad...... :(

I just heard some really sad news today. Our friends kitten Lalook for reasons unknown became blind. He is just a little kitten and can't take care of himself. He doesn't know where his food is, where his litter box is. They woke up one morning to him screaming uncontrollably.

The vet suggests putting him to sleep because he is too young and can't take care of himself when they are at work.

I can't even imagine if something like that were to happen to our children, I would be totally devastated.

We need more politicians and parents like this

I just came across this article thanks to the website of this hottie. I find it very inspiring that a politician would have enough guts to say what he said. And the funny thing is it's not like he is saying anything revolutionary. All he is saying is not to be ignorant and fearful really.

But what I like is that he had the guts to stand up for his son. I hate people like our vice president who's own daughter is gay yet still goes on about how evil it is and must be stopped at all costs. Not to mention my mom would probably totally support any bill that discriminates against gay. I honestly think if someone talked shit about me to my mom she would not defend me. She would probably just start to cry wailing it was all true, how evil I am. I find that really upsetting. It's so sad that I know my Mom would not defend me. She has nothing to defend, she thinks I chose to be gay and that I am going to hell, it's just that simple in her mind.

Alas I don't think my mom will ever get it. She will feel shame because of me till the day she dies. But it's good to know that not all parents feel that way, and it's good to know some of them are standing up for their kids.

Got to love parents!

Roque has been giving me a hard time for not going to see my mom this Mother's Day. So I was talking to my mom this morning and told her I Roque and I could swing by on our way home from Guerneville this weekend. She told me that she wanted to have a good day so no.

Yup you read that right, she does not want to have her day ruined so it's best the homo's don't drop by.

I actually found it kinda funny. I can't really get pissed anymore, she will never accept the fact that I gay. Whatever.

Thank God I am not in Highschool anymore

I have been reading Crash's blog lately (which is really good by the way, go read it now!) and it has got me all thinking about high school and what not. Hearing his stories of being in high school and realizing he was gay and stuff really makes you think.

I would NEVER want to go back to high school. Mind you I was not out then (nor did I even realize I was gay) but still it was an awkward time! Then I started talking to a friend of mine from high school and I brought up the fact that this year should be our 10 year reunion. I am not entirely sure I would even want to go. But then I started to think, how fun would it be to walk in with my man and just be totally in your face gay?! The reaction would be priceless. Plus I want to see who else turned out gay, and I want to see who turned out to be hot!

I admire Crash, or anyone for that matter for being able to come to terms with their gayness in high school. I was in SO much denial, the sheer force of my denial could have powered a thrid world nation for a decade. I remember this one guy in high school, Josh, he was a year ahead of me and on the swim team with me. He was PERFECTION. He had the perfect body, he was totally cute and he had perfect chest hair coverage. I wanted him SO bad. Why these thoughts did not tip me off that maybe I was gay I have no idea.

But at least I am gay now and loving it!

Go Bill Clinton!

So our good buddy Bill Clinton was criticized because he defended his wife Hillary. But the reason he was criticized is because he made some comment about the guy mounting the attack against Hillary. See this Republican strategist is a homo, in fact he even married his man in Massachusetts. Bill simply made a comment about how any homo that would so blindly devote himself to a political party that clearly hates him must have some self loathing issues.

Now everyone is freaking out that no president should say such a thing. As far as I am concerned Bill could not have hit the nail on the head any more perfectly. Come on! Republicans hate the gays, they do everything in their power to limit our rights. I don't care if you hate Hillary or not, but if you are supporting the Republicans and you are gay, you have some issues!

And it finally happened

So today my parents came up to Sacramento to talk to me and Roque. She wanted to get a few things off her chest. This is of course in response to the email I sent about me not wanting to see them anymore as long as Roque was not welcome. Although my mom did do the guilt trip thing and say how she would never be OK with me being gay, I have to admit even though, I think it went well. It was the first time she actually talked about me being gay. It's also the first time she has ever really talked to Roque.

It was all very emotional and stuff. But I am glad it happened. Hopefully things will start to finally get better. But only time will tell.

Today is the day! Let's make our voices heard!

Did you vote today? Are you going to vote today? Make sure you vote today. This is a VERY important election. After four years we finally have a change to get that bitch ass mother fucker out of office. We can't let this opportunity slip by. This is America, and we can make our voice heard, but not if we don't vote. This is the one time when we take control. We must take destiny into our own hands. We can no longer let a warmonger be in charge of our country, burning bridges and alienating us from the world community.

VOTE!

I voted!

I was a good little citizen and voted today. It wasn't easy I had to drive all the way home during my lunch hour. But I voted. I hope everyone else that was supposed to vote today, did. Remember, your voice can't be heard if you don't use it.

Score one for us!

Check this story out. The bible pushers went after two judges to stop these marriages. The first one basically said come back at the end of march and I will hear the case (he is gay and we like him). The second said come back Friday. Well it’s Friday, and he still said there was not enough of a case to stop the marriages. This rocks! This means the marriages continue! Go San Francisco!

Posted by Scott at 07:28 PM | Comments (0)

Gurl you did not just say that!

It’s clear that same sex marriage has become a hot political issue, and this being a campaign year, its even more important. But you know, politicians just piss me off. This little expert from this article right here just really pisses me off:

… key California Democratic officeholders began to express doubts about same-sex marriage, and some were openly unhappy the matter had become an object of national politics in a campaign year.

What the hell does that mean? Oh how DARE we express our displeasure of being treated like second class citizens during a campaign year! Shame on us. Gays should not be seen or heard apparently.

My response to that is “FUCK YOU!” We will be both seen and heard. You’re looking at a demographic that wont take being treated like dirt anymore. And yes, it is a campaign year, now show us where you stand so that we may properly support or trash talk you. Shit or get off the pot.

Stop the spread of weapons of mass destruction?

Our fearless leader GW has just come out publicly saying that we need to do all we can to stop the spread of WMD.

This is the part where I scream. Where the hell does he get off saying this? We went to war with Iraq cause of their WMD and now we won, we blasted their cities to the ground and for what? There was not a single WMD found! NONE! Oh but now apparently we are supposed to believe him in that we need to start taking out other “rouge” countries cause they are spreading WMD?

I have one thing to say to GW: BITE ME. I am sick of you spending our countries money on foolish wars. If you are going to invade a country and kill it’s people you better have a reason that is real, not some fabricated excuse.

GW, STFU! ...dumbass

Our idiot president

Some may be wondering why I have not commented on the State of The Union Address yet. Well first and foremost I did not watch it. I know what you are thinking; you all think I am an un-intellectual freak that does not care about my country. It could not be farther from the truth! I am actually mortified by the direction our country has taken, we have a complete asshole in charge and every word out of his mouth repulses me.

This leads into why I did not watch the state of the union address. I can’s stand listening to our president. His voice grates against me. He sickens me. Every time I hear him speak I want to rip my ears off just to make it stop! So given this I decided to not watch his speak and just read about it later.

I am darn glad I did this, I am afraid had I watched it live I may have thrown something VERY heavy at my TV in hopes that through some miracle of technology he would have felt it. Lets start with the whole Gay Marriage thing. OMG that angers more then I can even express. How on Earth can any sane person want to amend the constitution to exclude gay marriages? That basically legally makes us second class citizens. It proves, by law that we are less important and do not deserve the same rights as everyone else.

What I find interesting is that even Andrew Sullivan who is a totally die hard Bush groupie even talked trash about him after this SOTU address. Now when AS starts talking smack about our fearless leader then clearly something is not right. Why any gay person would EVER support this bastard is totally beyond me.

At the moment I am not entirely sure what the solution should be. Unfortunately the Democrats do not have any candidates that I see being able to defeat Bush in this coming election. This saddens me greatly. If he is in office for 4 more years then who knows what damage he can do for human rights. Not to mention who else he is going to wage ware against in this senseless battle against terrorism. Incase you didn’t notice Bush there were not weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, you totally lied to us and you know it.

In conclusion, our president is pure concentrated evil and I suggest everyone out there to get up off your ass and vote in the coming election cause even if you don’t believe he can be defeated, vote against him anyway. It’s that same attitude that will ensure that he will be re-elected. And if you are not registered to vote, WTF is wrong with you?

Please tell me this did not just happen

I am almost ashamed to say I am a citizen of the state of California. Not only did this ridiculous recall actually take place, but they won, governor Gray Davis got recalled. And to add insult to injury, Arnold Schwarzenegger is now our new governor.

I bet all you people out there that don’t live in California are laughing right now. I can’t blame you, it’s rather comical really (provided you’re not here). I don’t know what this new messed up turn of events holds for us here, but I guess we are going to find out.

As a random side note, the domain recall-arnold.com has already been registered by someone, although there is nothing up at the moment.

Well they postponed the recall

I am actually rather shocked by this, but the courts have decided that the recall election that was supposed to happen October 7th is now going to be postponed. The interesting thing about this is that its not because of some freaky thing about it being unfair and stupid, its simply because we in California decided after the last presidential election that punch card voting machines are lame and flawed and should never be used. That is all well and good but several of the counties in CA have not bought new machines yet because no one expected there to be an election this early. Two of counties with outdated machines are Sacramento and LA county which comprise 44% of the registered voters in CA.

I am sure Gray Davis is jumping for joy at the moment, and I am sure his lawyers had something to do with this. This whole situation is just funny. And the best part is that now that it has to be postponed, he won’t get recalled, the fire behind this movement will fizzle. In the end we will all just look back and say how stupid it was for the Republicans to waste SO much money on trying to get Davis recalled (because he could not handle the budget). It’s kind of ironic (don’t ya think? I mean it’s like 10,000 spoons when all you need is a knife!).

The RIAA makes me sick

As we all know the RIAA has started a major assault against all people that download music. They claim that they are hurting the record industry. OK first things first, I don’t see no musicians starving in the street. I most certainly don’t see any record executives starving in the street. They have been screwing us over for years on the price of music. We all know it costs like 1 cent to make a CD, yet we pay almost $20 to buy them.

Anyway, the RIAA is all happy right now because they slammed a 12 year old girl with a $2000 fine for downloading music. Way to go! We can no see how all powerful they are that they can win a case against a 12 year old girl, who lives in subsidized housing in New York. Ya, they rock.

I have a message to the RIAA: you are all complete and total losers. I mean come on! Picking on a 12 year old kid! You complain that file swappers are costing you SO much money yet you have no problems wasting ungodly amounts of money to prosecute 12 year old girls. OH ya, I’m on your side now.

I officially want to protest against the protesters

So there is this big agricultural conference happening here in sacramento this week. Now all the protesters are out in force protesting against genetically modified foods and stuff.

Now I am all for people exercising there right to free speech and blah blah, but I just drove home from the gym through downtown sacramento. It was just not right to see that many police in full riot gear patrolling the streets. Its 10 at night people! Even now you can hear the police helicopters circling the city.

So to all you protesters, get the hell out of my town. I don't want the streets closed off, I don't want all the police in riot gear, and I don't want to hear the helicopters overhead anymore.

Satellite TV Tax

I was just reading the local paper online and read this article. It seems that certain parties have decided that subscribers to satellite TV need to pay local taxes on their service. Clearly this is a plan backed by the cable companies because satellite can beat them on price.

The cable companies claim that satellite providers have an unfair advantage since they don’t get charged taxes and they want to “level the playing field”. This is lame, the cable companies get charged these taxes because their infrastructure uses the local land and services. Satellite is just transmitted over the air from a satellite and they already pay the fees necessary to broadcast from a satellite.

Cable companies bug me, because they continue to raise their prices time and time again, and get pissed now that they actually have competition. They claim satellite only has subscribers because it’s cheaper not because it has a better service. Well I have had both cable and satellite (I have DirecTV right now) and let me tell you, DirecTV is WAY better than cable ever was.

Any of you out there with satellite TV that live in a state that is attempting to try and tax you should write to your representatives in government, because this is lame. Don’t let huge cable corporations dictate policy like this. DirecTV has a link on their website where you can send an email to your representative. Go check it out.

It has begun.....

I came across this link on Wandering Thoughts. It's a story about Senator Robert Byrd and how he is a voice of opposition for our war on Iraq.

My favorite quote from the article is: "We cannot convince the world of the necessity of this war for one simple reason. This is a war of choice." I agree with this. Saddam hadn't actually done anything yet, we are just throwing our weight around under the assumption that we are right and they are wrong.

Don't get my wrong here, I think Saddam is clearly evil, and he has weapons of mass destruction but I have yet to actually be convinced about this war. This war just seems way to personal for Bush rather than the US doing what is best for the world. And the fact that we use terrorism to rally the citizens of the country sickens me. It's one thing to go after the person that did in fact hurt us, but to preemptively start taking out other countries cause they "might" be linked to people that "might" hurt us again at some point in the future is just wrong. It really does seem to me that we couldn't actually get Ossama Bin Laden so now we need a new target because our vengeance must be satisfied. This war just seems clouded by to many other factors other than Saddam being a threat for me to see a clear worthy justification. Like Sen. Byrd said, no one forced us into this war, we choose to start it.

That being said, we are committed now. Attacks have begun so all I have to say now is I hope we pulverize them. If we are gonna go to war we certainly shouldn't do it half-ass. If we truly mean to eliminate the threat that is Saddam Hussein, then lets do that and get out.

Um, I did not need to see that

I was driving back home from my brother’s house, minding my own business, when right in front of me is this huge van/truck thing that has been converted to a big movable sign protesting abortion. Don’t get me wrong if you want to protest that is your right. But there was this HUGE picture of an aborted fetus on the back of the vehicle. I did not need to see that. First of all, they don’t abort fetus’s that developed, and if they did they shouldn’t, but they don’t. There was also some message, something about why doesn’t the church stop this. I didn’t really read the text, I was kind of painfully mesmerized by the aborted fetus.

I don’t like that kind of protesting. Why do people have to go for the shock value of an aborted fetus? And what does the church have to do with anything? I realize this country is full of religious people, but don’t they realize that not everyone on the planet is Christian and they don’t want to be force-fed your beliefs! If you have a problem with abortion, that is fine, but I want to see rational arguments not nasty pictures of aborted fetus that serve no purpose but to creep me out. Despite what this person thinks, I know what abortion is, I don’t need to see this, and it wont change my mind.

A woman has the right to choose. Mind you I don’t think this decision should be made without great thought, maybe even a little counseling so the person truly understands what they are doing. But if you outlaw abortion, it doesn’t mean they are going to stop. It just means abortions are now going to take place in back rooms under unsanitary conditions and it’s going to be a bad scene. At least now a woman can have one done and it can be done safely.

I don’t want to get into some big huge moral and political argument here, so I am going to stop now.

A new era in government

Clearly our government has issues. It’s currently run by a bunch of white bread, Christian-fascist bastards who are overly influenced by all-powerful corporations. I propose an interesting geek based solution.

I say we GPL the government! Let’s make the USA an open source community. We will replace congress and the senate with a giant CVS repository. We would still need a president of course, but he/she would be directly voted in by the people, since they directly run the government.

As I was writing this, it was brought to my attention that this solution still leaves the government in control of an elite group of people (ie the open source community). But I say, its OK, cause still its fundamentally people based and there will be way less influence by large corporation controlling our lives. It’s time for a change!

Cafeteria Math

I have gotten into the habit of eating breakfast here at work. Not that bad, the cafeteria here makes a wicket breakfast burrito. Now this is the interesting part. A BB with 1 item (ie cheese and one other thing) is $1.94. That is a bargain and now you can see why its OK to eat here. Today I got a BB with two items and it cost me $3.18. Someone PLEASE explain to me how the math works for that? That is a 63% increase in price! For one more item I do not need to spend that much more money. From now on its 1 item BB’s for me!

This guy is my hero!

I am gonna catch SO much heat for that title I can feel it! OK everyone out there must remember about the guy that filed a law suit about the Pledge of Allegiance right? And the courts actually found it to in-fact be unconstitutional. Well the SacBee today had an article about this guy.

I totally agree with this guy. I mean really when you think about it, separation of church and state and all. The Pledge of Allegiance is clearly not constitutional. But no one hearing about this cares about the law. All they care about is this blasphemes heathen that is trying to corrupt our children by forcing Godlessness on them.

WHATEVER!!!!

People need to chill. I mean specially if you think about the circumstances that the "under one God" line was added to the pledge. It CLEARLY had to do with the church. They have their hands in every part of our government, trying to direct moral standards and crap. Grrr... don't get me started.

Anyway, I just wanted to bring attention to this guy cause he rocks. Read the article, its a good one.
